This recipe is inspired by one of our favorite restaurants in L.A. called Sage Plant Based Bistro & Brewery. This recipe can be made vegan or not, completely up to your preference!
INGREDIENTS:
Buffalo Cauliflower:
- Cauliflower florets
- Cornstarch
- Garlic powder
- Fresh cracked black pepper
- Olive oil
- Southern Art Original Hot Sauce
Pizza:
- Pre-made pizza dough
- Pesto
- Shredded mozzarella cheese or Violife vegan mozzarella cheese
- Olive oil
Toppings:
- Fresh arugula
- Southern Art Original Hot Sauce
STEPS:
- Pre-heat oven to 425°F (or pre-heat air fryer)
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper
- In a large mixing bowl, add in your cauliflower florets and lightly coat with olive oil, cornstarch, and season with garlic powder and fresh cracked black pepper.
- Place the cauliflower florets in the oven or air fryer for about 20 - 30 minutes while tossing about halfway in between.
- After the cauliflower is finished baking, remove from oven or air fryer and place in a large mixing bowl and toss immediately with Southern Art Original Hot Sauce to coat the cauliflower florets and set to the side.
- Whole Foods sells this great pre-made pizza dough that makes this such an easy weeknight recipe! Let this pizza dough sit out for about 30 minutes to make it easier to stretch and toss.
- Toss pizza dough and stretch out to desired shape and size. This dough can easily make two personal size pizzas or one large pizza. You can lightly dust some flour on the bottom of the baking pan to help the dough not stick to the pan.
- Assemble your pizza on a baking pan and spoon pesto onto the pizza dough as the base sauce.
- Next, top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Place buffalo cauliflower on top of the cheese.
- Lightly brush olive oil on pizza crust and place the assembled pizza in the oven at 450°F and bake for about 15 minutes.
- After the pizza is done baking with cheesy goodness, drizzle with Southern Art Original Hot Sauce and top with fresh arugula and enjoy!
