Bulgogi Meatballs

Let’s add an Asian flavor to the classic meatball. Enjoy this tasty Bulgogi Meatball recipe using our Spicy Korean BBQ Sauce and Korean Hot Sauce. 


For the Meatballs:

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 2 scallions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons Southern Art Co.’s Korean BBQ Original Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Southern Art Co.’s Korean BBQ Spicy Sauce

For the Sauce:

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Korean BBQ Spicy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Korean Hot Sauce

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 40 minutes (including rice cooking)

Serves: 2-4 people 


  1. Rinse sushi rice until the water is clear, then cook as directed.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, chopped scallions, minced ginger, minced garlic, panko breadcrumbs, a beaten egg, pepper, salt, Korean BBQ Original Sauce, and Korean BBQ Spicy Sauce.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  5. For the sauce, mix sour cream, Korean BBQ Spicy Sauce, and Southern Hot Sauce in a bowl.
  6. Serve the meatballs over the cooked sushi rice and drizzle with the prepared sauce.
