Kimchi Rice Ball

Let’s use our Korean BBQ Sauce Marinade! We call this a mixture of whatever is left in your kitchen. Check out this delicious Kimchi Cheese Rice Balls recipe that will have you coming back for more! 


  • 1 cup of sushi rice
  •  Kimchi (to taste)
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup of Southern Art Co.’s Korean BBQ Sauce Marinade 
  • 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce
  • ¼ tablespoons of honey
  • ¼ tablespoon of sesame oil

Prep time: 10 minutes 

Cook time: 50 minutes (including rice cooking) 

Serving sizes: 2-3 people


  • Rinse sushi rice until water is clear, cook as directed.
  • Chop and pulse kimchi in a food processor to a coarse texture. 
  • Sauté kimchi in a pan over medium-high heat until caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine cooked rice with caramelized kimchi in the pan. Stir in Korean BBQ Sauce Marinade, light soy sauce, and honey. Mix well.
  • Shape the mixture into individual balls, adding in mozzarella
  • Brush each with sesame oil. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes, turning halfway through.
